In the midst of the battle of the High Court case against people like Ericsson and Epic Games, Apple has managed to find a new lawsuit against Vasyl Moscalenko, the author and director of the upcoming superhero film entitled Apple-Man.
The iPhone in Canada has reported a lawsuit submitted by Apple to prevent film distribution.
According to the report, Apple thought that consumers might believe this film was associated with the Apple brand.
Moscalenko confirmed the iPhone on the Canadian website that Apple has filed a 1467 page lawsuit which stops the distribution of the film.
The author, the director finished photographing the Kickstarter Healthy-Lifestyle campaign targeted by Superhero films in 2020 and the film had just entered the post-production phase.
According to Moscalenko, this film has been approved by the USPTO (patent patent and the United States trademark) and the company is now trying to make a trademark registration application rejected.
“My film is about apple, fruits,” said Moscalenko to the iPhone in Canada.
He also stressed the fact that the film did not have a reference or mention Apple products.
“If my registration will be rejected, there is no guarantee that Apple will not demand to remove my film after being released,” said the Indie Filmmaker to the iPhone in Canada.
Moscalenko believes that this looks like an ‘trademark suppression’ and he is open to negotiations for negotiations for negotiations Resolve disputes.
