New Delhi: Ailing Vodafone ideas continue to lose customers throughout India because more people move to Reliance Jio and Airtel.
June 2021 may be the worst for the idea of vodafone because of maximum loss of customers.
In accordance with the latest Indian Telecommunication Supervisory Authority (Trai), the idea of Vodafone lost 42.89,519 customers in June 2021.
In May, the idea of Vodafone had lost 42.81,532 while in April had lost 18,10,620.
As far as the competition, Airtel recovered after losing 46.13,521 customers in May and in June Airtel rose 38.530.
Meanwhile, BSNL and MTNL lost 9,93,621 and 4,846 customers in June 2021.
On the other hand, Reliance Jio rose 54.66.556 new users in June.
Reliance Jio has become the biggest enhancer during April, May and June.
In June 2021, 12.27 million customers submitted their requests for mobile number portability (MNP).
With this, the cumulative MNP request increased from 593.61 million at the end of May to 605.88 million at the end of June, since the implementation of MNP.
The total wireless customers increased from 1,176.84 million at the end of May to 1,180.83 million at the end of June, according to the report.
Speaking of wireless broadband service providers, the top five players in June is Reliance Jio with 436.69 million users, Bharti Airtel with 193.74 million, the idea of Vodafone with 121.41 million users along with BSNL and Tikona each with 16, 67 million and 0.31 million customers.
