This Is why’5G Propagates Covid’ is a myth, says Authorities

After Delhi High Court slapped actress Juhi Chawla with a fine of Rs 20 lakh for filing a “defective” plea claiming that 5G networks affects human health and the ecosystem, the government reiterated that 5G networks or ‘radiation’ from 5G-enabled mobile towers have nothing to do with the spread of Covid-19.
The government through the official Twitter handle of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said that “5G mobile networks spread/transmit COVID-19” is a myth.
It said that “Viruses cannot travel on radio waves or mobile networks.
COVID-19 is spreading in many countries that do not have a 5G mobile network,” said the tweet.
#CoronaFacts:?Myth:- 5G mobile networks spread/transmit COVID-19❓❓↗️ Fact:- Viruses cannot travel on radio wave… https://t.co/DrXBXz0VIj— #IndiaFightsCorona (@COVIDNewsByMIB) 1622824028000If you come across any message or anyone who claims that 5G telecom technology is the reason behind breathing problems and one of the potential causes of the spread of Covid-19 then please know that it is misleading and makes no sense.
COAI, the representative body for the Indian telecommunications industry, earlier expressed its concern regarding false rumours connecting 5G technology with the spread of Covid-19.
In the UK a similar misleading campaign led people to burn mobile towers at the start of the pandemic.
False news and unscientific claims made life difficult for telecom operators in the UK as they not only had to fight fake news which claimed that “5G radiations” caused Covid-19 but also had to fix broken towers to restore telecom connectivity.
During a pandemic, the last thing any country would want is broken telecommunications networks.
“We would like to clarify that these rumours are absolutely FALSE.
We urge people not to fall for such baseless misinformation.
Several countries in the world have already rolled out 5G networks and people are using these services safely.
Even the World Health Organisation has clarified that there is no correlation between 5G technology and COVID-19,” said Lt.
Gen.
Dr.
S.P.
Kochhar, Director General, COAI in a statement to the media last month.
