Samsung has launched a new update for several older Galaxy Smartwatches.
This includes Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Watch3.
Updates add some new features such as advanced fall detection, improved group challenges and new watches.
Users in the US and South Korea will be the first to get an update, with other areas set to follow it soon.
Autumn detection features are usually directed to detect if the watch users move or run.
With new updates, a finer and sensitive fall detection feature will come to the Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Watch3 which will also detect falling when you just stand somewhere.
So suppose you don’t walk somewhere but fall while in a standing position, this feature will send the SOS notification to the contact you choose for assistance as soon as possible.
Updates also bring the enhanced group challenge version where you compete with your friends during training.
This time, this feature will allow you to add family members and friends to challenge to see who gets to the goal faster.
You can enter as a team or as a competitor.
Coming to the face of the watch, now there are 10 additional watch faces added which are Galaxy Watch4-First.
Some of them will let you choose between various backgrounds or text colors, while the animal watching the face gives you different animated creatures to choose from such monkeys, rabbits, sheep or cats.
The Samsung Health Monitor application has also arrived at Galaxy Watch Active2 and Galaxy Watch3.
This allows users to track their heartbeat, blood oxygen levels, sleep and stress.
Some markets from a total of 42 have received blood pressure monitoring and electrocardiogram (ECG) also with health monitor applications.
