Thiruvananthapuram: Visual treats waiting for 310 elementary school model students, Thycaud, thanks to Jiji Thyccaud, a school alumnus and his team consisting of seven members.
They painted the classroom to make it look exactly like the picture in their textbook.
The students in the pre-primary class, first and second will be in school for the first time and the class wall creates their syllabus.
Class one class students are painted to match illustrations in the first chapter of their Malay text books.
Thara and Vimala, characters from short novels “Thayude Veed,” painted in class along with other elements such as sky, mountains, trees, homes, animals and birds in the background.
Students have identified characters when distributed on WhatsApp.
Mathematics and other themes are also painted in class.
The bench and table are also painted with a pleasant color scheme and design.
The old tables and benches are long refurbished and converted into colorful colors that can accommodate only two students.
The artistic team takes 10 days to complete artwork.
“I feel happy to work at school where I study and consider it my luck,” Jiji Thycaud said.
“We created activities for pre-primary students.
For grade 1 and 2 students, we decided to make changes in their classrooms too,” Shaji M said, the principal of the school.
Of the 12 classrooms, four converted into smart classes.
Costs for smart classes and paintings in classes are donated by school teachers.
Smart classes are arranged for grade 1 and 2.
classrooms and compounds cleaned by teachers and parents.
They have started working in a butterfly park by planting plants to attract butterflies.
