New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Head of Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday made a strong tone for religious harmony and said there would be no dominance of both Hinduism or Muslims in democracy such as India.
He said that nationalism must be the basis of unity among people in the country.
Speaking at an event organized by Muslim Rashtriya MANSH, Muslim wing RSS, Bhagwat said that the development in the country was unlikely to occur without unity, which was an ancestral nationalism and glory.
“We are in democracy.
There cannot be the dominance of Hindus or Muslims.
There is only the dominance of Indians,” he said.
Speaking of the Lynching MOB incident, Bhagwat said that those involved in such acts of violence against Hindutava.
The RSS head said that the term “Unity Hindu-Muslim” was misleading because Hindus and Muslims were basically one.
“DNA of all Indians is the same, regardless of religion,” he said, adding that people cannot be distinguished based on how they worship.
