Seoul: More than a thousand houses are damaged and around 5,000 people have been evacuated after the flood caused by heavy rain in North Korea, the state broadcasters reported, with agricultural land plots were also flooded with floods.
The TV report came when the poor North in June admitted that it handled the food crisis, sounding alarms in the country with the Moribund agriculture sector which had long struggled to feed itself.
Last month, food forecast and UN agricultural organizations said North Korea faced a lack of food around 860,000 tons this year, warned that the country could experience “hard lean periods”.

The report said that “hundreds of hectares of agricultural land” also drowned or lost in the South Hamgyong Province in the country, above the house and a very affected road, because the river embankment collapsed.
Natural disasters tend to have a greater impact on the state isolated because of its weak infrastructure, while deforestation has made it vulnerable to flooding.
A series of typos last summer also triggered flooding that damaged agricultural land and destroyed thousands of houses.
The leader of Kim Jong PBB said in June, the situation of the country’s food supply was “increasingly tense” because of the destructive damage, and called on steps to minimize the impact of natural disasters.
North Korea is now under its own insulation force to protect itself to the Coronavirus pandemic, and as a trade result with Beijing – its economic lifeline – has slowed to dripping.
