New Delhi: Recognizing the risk of terrorism flowing to Russia and Kashmir from Afghanistan, the Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay Kudashev Monday said India and Russia had a “general concern” that Afghanistan should not be used to spread terrorism.
“As far as concerning terror phenomena, we share our worries with India.
There are terror dangers spread to the Russian region and the Kashmir region.
This is a matter of general worries,” Kudashev said to a body news on the sidelines of an event at the Russian Embassy.
Russia and China have last month Abstain from voting at the UNSC resolution in Afghanistan said that it did not mention the names of terror groups such as ISIS and Ethim.
Kudashev said that there was enough room for cooperation between India and Russia in Afghanistan and both parties had interconnected regularly.
“Good India and Russia are worried about the situation in Afghanistan.
We want an inclusive government.
We want that Afghan land should not be a source of terror for other countries in the region,” said Kudashev, added that the recognition of the government was not a direct focus area.
Asked about Pakistani support for terror groups operating in Afghanistan, Kudashev said Russia expected Pakistan to be among countries who wanted to see a safe prediction and environment in Afghanistan.
Kudashev said that handling terror threats had become a problem of sustainable dialogue between Russia and India under several frameworks, including the bilateral mechanism of the counter-terror work group.
“Counter-terrorism is part of every bilateral meeting.
Rest assured we know about this danger and we are most willing to work together to deal with it,” he said.
“We are for inclusive governments in Afghanistan who can ensure sustainable development in a war-hit country.
Afghans deserve peace, stability, and sustainable development just like other countries in the world,” Kudashev added.
