KOLLAM: In the size of a facial saving, CPM suspended the Secretary of the Chavara Mukundapuram branch of Sreenithyam Biju from the party because it brought destruction to parties in the problem threatening expatriate investors.
Recently, Biju threatened Shahi Mohan from Mayavilsoam, Kovoor, Mynagappally, and his relatives because he did not pay Rs 10,000 to build a martyr and RS15,000 warning to buy land for Biju managed by Biju.
He threatened them to put the party flag in front of the convention center that Shahi was being built at Mughammoodi Mukku, Chavara.
In the release issued for the media on Saturday, the CPM Sudevan District Secretary said the branch secretary should not take such actions that would bring destruction to the party.
The District Committee will conduct an investigation into the incident, said the release.
Even though the party’s leadership was reluctant to suspend Biju, until Saturday night the leadership of the district confirmed the actions of the branch secretary.
There is an effort to describe events as fabrication.
Leadership said that Shahi voluntarily offered contributions to getting party assistance when the branch secretary objected to reclaiming 26 cents of rice soil adjacent to the convention center.
Shahi is a welder and his wife Shini an employee of a daily care center in the US.
They used loans from KFC and from their employers in the US to mobilize Rs 10 Crore for the Convention Center.
Shini has filed a complaint to the Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister looking for his intervention.
CPM State’s leadership and chairman of the minister’s chairman against the actions of the branch secretary forced the district leadership to start actions against Biju.
