Three arrested for stealing 12 bicycles

Coimbatore: City police arrested three people on Thursday because of stealing motorbikes and recovering 12 stolen vehicles from them.
The people who were arrested were identified as Aravind alias Azaruddin, 28, Selvapuram-based plumbers, K Karthik alias Ranjith Kumar, 26, Pattanam near Ondipudur and S Mohammed Sadiq, 24, Kuniyamuthur.
The trio has stolen 10 motorbikes parked on the streets at the Boundary of the Puram Hospital in the last four months and two motorbikes from the Hall Road police station.
A team led by Police Inspector Parimala Devi RS and Prabhu Sub-Inspector collected CCTV Azaruddin’s footage a few days ago and held it on Thursday morning.
The team then held Ranjith Kumar and Mohammed Sadiq.
“The trio changes the stolen vehicle registration plate before selling it low with Rs 10,000,” police said.
