Three Barodian families sank on the Mahisagar River

Vadodara: The tragedy hit the Vyas Tarsali family because three members met with a juicy grave on the Mahisagar River.
The incident occurred in Karakhdi Padra Taluka Village on Sunday morning.
Jyoti Vyas aged 40 years (40), his 10-year-old son Abhay, and 12-year-old Mitesh niece, who all native to Karakhdi but settled in the city of Vadodara in Tarsali, had gone to swim in the river on Sunday morning.
Police said that family members often visited their village during the weekend and holidays.
On Sunday at around 9:30 a.m., Vyas took his son and nephew to swim in the Mahisagar River which passed in their village.
Trio enjoys swimming them when tides increase the surface of the river and they are swept away.
Locals, who were on the banks of the river, sounded the alarm after seeing the three struggling to survive.
However, in a few minutes the victims disappeared in the waters.
Some villagers dived in the river to save them, but it was too late and they could only find Vyas and Abhay’s body.
When Mitesh could not be found, firefighters from the city of Vadodara were called for search operations.
Mitesh’s body also fished in the afternoon.
The body was taken to a government hospital in Vadu for postmortem and accidental death cases registered at the Vadu Police Station.
