Ahmedabad: Even when the stage has been established for the appointment of two main posts in the State Unit of the Congress – the President and Opposition leader (LOP), three different factions have entered these main posts.
According to people in the party, GPCC Presidential Camps Bharathinh Solanki, former GPCC President Arjun Modhwadia and the President of the Work of Hardik State Patel have lobbyed for their respective leaders to lead the State Congress unit next year.
The two main posts from the President of the GPCC and Lop were empty for more than six months after Amit Chavda and Paresh Dhanani stopped after the party was riding a policeman of the local agency.
Their resignation was accepted and asked to continue until the new promise was made.
The process of appointment of new leaders slipped after unlimited death from AICC Gujarat who was responsible for Rajeev Satav in May this year.
Earlier this month, the command of the high party appointed Raghu Sharma as AICC Gujarat was responsible.
The person in the State Congress unit said that AICC Gujarat was responsible, Raghu Sharma, met with representatives from the three camps in Congress and received feedback about the popularity of the third leader of the group.
Source said Sharma discussed various competitors for the post of GPCC and Lop President at the CWC meeting – Congress’s highest decision-making agency – in Delhi on Saturday.
The names of the new GPCC presidents and LOP are expected to be announced in a month.
