Surat: At a significant drug haul, the specific performance group (SOG) of town authorities captured 4.68kg charas worth Rs 23.42 lakh and arrested three people in Abrama checkpoint on Tuesday night.
Those detained included two white-collar professionals a stock dealer and a female fashion designer.
Continuing with their push from contraband the city authorities ceased the consignment from going into the town market due to close observation on those included in the illegal trade of medications.

Police detained Jenish Kheni, 29, his girlfriend Nikita Chodvadiya, 27 and Atul Patil, 35, by Abrama entrance point.
They had been traveling at a SUV with all the consignment of charas at a backpack.
Authorities had specific details regarding the trafficking.
Their car had been stopped for assessing and on retrieval of charas police arrested the trio.
After Covid-19 evaluation they had been detained.
The analysis was handed on to Amroli police channel.
Police analysis so far shown that Kheni, son of a gemstone artisan, is still an BBA degree holder.
In addition, he failed a gemstone processing class at Mumbai.
Not able to maintain from the diamond business, Kheni began stock trading.
Afterwards, he created a friendship with Chodvadiya through interpersonal networking.
Chodvadiya was functioning as fashion designer until the beginning of 2020 however, the worldwide outbreak left her unemployed.
Chodvadiya had divorced her husband seven decades back.
“Kheni went into Kasol to get a school tour through which he attempted charas for the very first time.
He attracted some amount back house and offered it.
He may have achieved this before also,” said a police officer at SOG.
“This is a significant grab by authorities and Surat authorities is continuing its push against drugs.
Authorities will make certain that the city stays medication totally free,” said city police commissioner Ajay Tomar.
