Aqi in both cities was in the ‘severe’ category for the third day in a row since Diwali.
However, with Aqi 463, Haryana’s Jind became the city’s most pollution city on Sundays, did a little worse than Ghaziabad who had the top position on Saturday.
In the entire region of the National Capital (NCR), the air quality index remained in the ‘severe’ category with AQI Delhi at 428 AQI and AQI Gurgaon at 419.
The air in Greater Noida was relatively better with AQI in 365 in ‘very poor categories.
After a sudden surge on the day after Diwali, the AQI level gradually reduces NCR.

Meanwhile, Greater Noida recorded a maximum increase in air quality because AQI changed from 462 to 414 to 365 for the past three days.
Uttar Pradesh pollution control instructions (UPPCB) said that the air did not improve because the minimum temperature had declined in the last few days, which trapped pollutants closer to the ground.
The highest level of pollution at night when the temperature is lowest.
“Pollutants are generally trapped in the NCR around this time because of weather conditions.
Divice surge coincides with a decrease in temperature.
We are now recorded AQI which is higher than 8pm to morning.
The level of pollution can go down if the weather conditions improve,” said Utsav Sharma, Regional officers, UPPCB, Noida and Ghaziabad.
Weather forecasts show that the situation will improve after Monday due to the increase in wind speeds.
However, the direction of the wind will be in the northwest.
I.e came from Punjab and Haryana.
Officials say that the level of pollution will only go down if the incoming wind has not been polluted.
In terms of the number of high agricultural fires and increased propellers, wind speeds will not benefit NCR, officials said.
Noida authorities now focus on pollution mitigation measures.
Sow water throughout the city has increased.
The two areas covered and the number of water tankers have also increased, officials said.
