Istanbul: Three people were killed by large forest fires that were burned for the second day in South Turkey on Thursday, the disaster agency and the Minister of Agriculture in the country, with efforts to save others and put out the fire continuously.
More than 100 other people must be evacuated, medical care is needed or suffered damage to property as a result of fire.
Hot weather and strong winds have caused the Blazes to spread around the city of Manavgat, 75 km (45 miles) to the east of the Antalya resort city, and the nearest villages.
Several residential areas were evacuated on Wednesday.
Agriculture Minister Bekir Pakdemirli said on Thursday that a 82-year-old man was found dead during the evacuation of Kekezbeleni Regency, 16 km (10 miles) northeast Manavgat.
A group of 10 people were saved after being stranded on the ship at the nearest Omapinar Dam.
Pakdemirli then said two other people were found dead in the Degirmenli district in Antalya, about 20 km (12.5 miles) East Manavgat, added that efforts to hold fire.
Afad said 122 people had been affected by fires and that 58 received care.
It was said by a fire fighting, a drone, 19 helicopters, around 250 vehicles, and 960 personnel were part of an effort to control the flames, while the Turkish red crescent sent staff and food kits to the region.
“The house located in areas that can be influenced by fire has been evacuated.
Some houses, offices, agriculture, farm fields, greenhouses, and vehicles have been damaged by fire,” Afad said in a statement.
Authorities evacuated 18 villages and districts in Antalya while 16 villages were evacuated in neighboring provinces Adana and Mersin, where efforts to extinguish separate forest fires were underway, Pakdemirli said.
Television recordings showed a burning residential building and people fled across the field when firefighters supported by helicopters struggled to extinguish the fire.
Turkey’s southern Mediterranean Coast, the popular destination for local and foreign tourists, is known for its hot summer heat, which often causes forest fires.
Officials said the latest fire was the biggest until now.
Pakdemirli said there were 41 forest fires in 13 of 81 Turkish provinces since Tuesday, where 31 was under control.
Blazes in Osmaniye and Kayseri are still burning.
Turkey has struggled to struggle a series of disasters caused by extreme weather conditions this summer, including flash floods last week which killed six people in the black sea area.
