Three held, MDMA worth Rs 10 lakh seized

MANGALURU: At a joint operation, the city crime branch and Konaje policeon Friday arrested three people and seized 170 gm of both MDMA crystals value Rs 10 lakh from their possession.
Additionally, the authorities seized a vehicle and four cellular phones in the detained men, belonging to Uppala at Kasaragod district of Kerala, town police commissioner N Shashi Kumar explained.
Some of those accused are operating in a resort and sports store in Bengaluru while another is a BBA graduate,” he explained.
The accused had allegedly bought the medication from an African American national in Bengaluru and have been intending to offer them from Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Kasaragod, Uppala and other areas, ” he explained.
They have been monitored from Hassan and detained under Konaje police station constraints.
The complete worth of their goods seized was projected at Rs 17.37 lakh, the Commissioner stated.
