Coimbatore: Three people were killed after a truck that quickly hit the car they traveled in Kadappanalur Pirivu at Bhavani-Mettur Main Road in the Erode district on Thursday night.
Police Bhavani said the incident occurred when Me Devanathan was 53 years old, from Udayanur near the Mecheri in Salem Regency, returning home after check-up at a private hospital in Coimbatore City.

Indirani, 51, and relative R Sathyaselan, 24, from Kullalar Street in Mecheri, traveled with him.
Investigation officers said Devanathan, managers with private companies in Omaling, were getting care for kidney problems at private hospitals in Coimbatore City.
“On Thursday morning, Devanathan asked Sathyaselan to accompany him to the hospital in the car.
