Palanpur: Three people, including a three-year-old girl, killed after the car collided with a tanker on the Mehsana-Chanasama highway in the district of Patan on Thursday morning.
Three other people traveling in the car were injured in an accident that occurred near Lanva Village, police said.
The deceased was identified as Ashish Patel (40), Jaimin Patel (36) and their daughter Vishwa (3).
According to the police, the deceased had come to Multhania Village in Chansma Taluka from a letter to attend a baby shower from one of their relatives.
“They have left a letter on Wednesday.
The family headed for Lanva Village to order a water tank for the baby shower function,” said Police Inspector Chanasama RM Vasilva.
He added that the accident occurred when a tanker tried to avoid a ditch and collided with the car coming from the opposite direction.

While three family members died at that place, the other three were injured rushed to the Club Lion hospital in the city of Mehsana.
The deceased’s body was sent to the Lanva Hospital for Postmortem.
