Three Mumbai Foreign Schools open the Gate to Students

Mumbai: Most of the schools in Mumbai have not reopened since the locking of March 2020, but foreign managed has begun to welcome students back to physical class.
American school Bombay at BKC on Monday welcomed class 4 and 5 students to campus.
It was the first in the city to get permission for learning directly in January.
The other two Deutsche Schule Bombay, a German school with campuses who violated candy and bottom parel, and Lycée Francais International De Mumbai, a French school in Parel-Have also received approval from BMC for classrooms.
Education has demanded to reopen all schools in a gradual way, citing the limitations of online teaching.
The 45-strange Cambridge International Board School, which has a maximum class strength of 20, has vocal on this problem.
But the state, however, was reluctant because of fear of the third wave.
ASB on Monday tweeted pictures of students greeted to campus.
Students are on a mask and checked for temperatures before entering the place.
Commissioner BMC Iqbal Singh Chahal said schools for diplomatic staff children were given permission in January 2021.
“Not a single positive case has been reported from these schools.
We have told them that all Covid norms must be strictly followed,” said Chahal.
The last state last week issued government resolutions to reopen schools in urban areas for class 8-12.
But schools in Mumbai were told to continue online education until November due to the threat of the third wave.

A senior officer at the BMC Education Department believes that foreign schools have ensured their teachers and support staff are vaccinated.
International schools, however, argue that more than 80% of their staff are also vaccinated.
At the State Council School, almost 50% of staff were vaccinated.
Of the three schools opened in the city, LFIM opened the gate on September 1.
The students have been on a summer vacation since June 26.
Before that, the school held a physical class.
International Principal DSB Howard Gee did not comment on the reopening.
