Thane: Thane crime branch has solved the kidnapping case of a 9-year-old boy at Ambernath Town by saving him and arrested three people who demanded Rsan Rs 40 Lakh.
The captured kidnappers have been identified as Amjad Khan, Chotu Singh and Yogesh Singh.
The three are between 30 and 40 years old.
The police said the child was kidnapped from Ambernath on Thursday night.
The kidnappers have demanded the amount of extortion of RS 40 Lakh from the father of the child who runs the Warung Vada Pav in the city.
Recording this problem, Thane police have formed teams separate from the city police and Crime Branch.
Police sources said that the 3 crime branch team unit on Saturday managed to save the child safely and also arrested the trio.
Ashok Moral, Police Commissioner, Crime Branch Police Thane said, “Our Crime Unit 3, along with city police, has managed to save the child and have succeeded in capturing three kidnappers.
The probe further is taking place.”
