Panaji: The police on Sundays damaged the gang of thieves from Mumbai who target a top-class stereo system.
The gang has done 16 theft for the past three days, and the police recover stolen goods worth more than Rs 15 Lakh.
The police said that the gang entered Goa on Thursday, and escaped from the country on Saturday.
They said that their first theft was stereo in the jurisdiction of the Mapapa police station.
On Friday, they made theft in Porvorim and Panaji.
The police also said that after receiving around 16 complaints, Panaji police were teams and gathered intelligence to arrest criminals.
When they learned that the gang left the country, the police team went to Karnataka and arrested three accused – Ahmed, Jagannath Saroj and Pradeep Gurav – and restored 16 stereos, garments and cars.
