Pune: Three mountain climbers from the city have scale MT Manda-1, a mountain as high as 6,510 meters, known as one of the most challenging climbing technically.
The team from Giripremi, a mountain group in the city, had tried to climb the mountain in 1989 and 1991, but could not increase it.
After a long time of 32 years, Giripremi generation from Mountaineers – Sumeet Mandale, Vivek Shivade and Pawan Hadole – Successfully scale the mountain on September 18.
MTa Manda-1 is one of the three peaks of Manda Group located in the Ganga Ganga Diplege Valley in Uttarakhand.
This is one of the most challenging tops in Indian Himalayas and has witnessed a fewer climbing expeditions.
Umesh Zirpe, team mentor, who was at the base camp monitored the expedition, “The young generation of our mountain climbers succeeded in mounting after fighting challenges such as rocks, ice hard and snow coupled with a gap and steep with Crasses and steep.

The team reached the top through the North Ridge route, which was considered a route to the edge of the blade where climbing became difficult because of the narrow ridge of the corners above and the steep slopes ran in the valley.
