Madurai: Three teenagers sank while bathing on the channel in Thukkalatti in Madurai district in Tamil Nadu on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as R Gopi Krishnan, 19, his brother R Kishore Kumar, 18 and their friend N days, 18.
Trio was bathing in channels – Periya Atru Kalvai – with their friends.
They sank when showering in a deeper channel section.
Fire service personnel and rescue restore the body and send them to the Rajaji government hospital for postmortem.
Others of the police registered a case.
Even though the bath was banned on the channel, the kids bathed there.
