Greater Noida: A 58-year-old man on Thursday was allegedly holding guns by three unknown people near Pari Chowk, who took his employer’s car and then dumped it near the metro station.
This is the third incident in this area in a range of more than 24 hours.
On Wednesday night, an OPPO engineer was robbed his cellphone after being dragged out of the auto near Pari Chowk while the laptop of an architectural student was taken in the same way in the Beta II area on Thursday night.
Police said that Ram Dheeraj worked as a driver for Delhi residents.
Around 9.05 hours on Thursday, he returned to the capital after taking his employer’s friend Ravi Shankar in the Greater Noida 36 sector when three people allegedly signaled him to stop.
“They asked where I went and when I told them that I was driving towards Delhi, they said they also wanted to go to that side and need a drop.
They got into the car and offered me some money,” Dheeraj said in his complaint to Police Beta II.
A little more than 25 minutes into the drive, the defendant allegedly defeated Dheeraj near the Okhla Bird Asaka Metro Station, who was under the area of the Sector Police Office 39, and held it at the shooting point.
They asked Dheeraj to hand over the Volkswagen Vento key and threatened to shoot him if he did not obey him.
After grabbing the key, the trio dumped it on Künd Kalindi bridge and went to Delhi, he accused.
Dheeraj tells her employer about theft, after that the police submitted FIR under the IPC part of 392 (robbery) at the Beta II police station.
Police said there was a possibility that theft was a gang work.
Only one hour earlier, a 21-year-old architecture student was robbed of his bag containing his laptop worth around Rs 1 lakh in the Beta II area.
Lakshita Ratra said that she was walking towards her house around 8.05 in the afternoon when two young men arrived by bicycle and grabbed the bag.
“The incident happened near the Rampur market,” he added.
A pine has been registered against an unknown attacker under the IPC part 392 (robbery) at the Beta II police station.
Additional DCP (Greater Noida) Vishal Pandey said that they had intensified the check out the Arrian Chowk area and in the Beta II sector.
CCTV cameras installed in buildings are being scanned to identify the defendant.
“The police have been asked to ensure two police officers, instead of taking rounds of the region,” he said.
