Coimbatore: Sulur Police arrested three men on Sundays for killing a 42-year-old man during a drunken fight at Kadampadi near the tendril in July 5.
M Krishnakumar, 21, from Thevaram in the district, 19, from Thiruppuvanam in Sivaganga District and Surya, 21 , from Vadipatti in the Madurai district, which worked as a wall painter, killed the contractor painting A Ravi Prasath from Upplilipallayam in Coimbatore, police said.
“Ravi had taken a house in Kadampadi renting two weeks ago for three workers.
On July 5, they collided with each other while drinking alcohol at home.
The trio attacked Ravi with stone and also stabbed it on his neck using a knife.
Ravi died in place,” said A police officer.
The tulur police registered a case below section 302 (murder) from the Indian criminal code and formed two special teams to arrest the three men.
The teams captured them from the city of Tirupur on Sunday.
“The trio has turned off their cellphones and lives in Kallipallayam in the city of Tirupur.
They worked at the construction site,” the officer added.
