Three was arrested for extortion in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Three people, including a woman, were arrested by the Mico layout police for allegedly extorting money from vegetable vendors in a honey trap operation.
The defendant was Neha Fathima, 25, and his Taslim Basha, 36 and Mohammed Arbaz, 25, from the BTM layout.
Srinath Mahadev Joshi, DCP (southeast), said the woman was friends with vendors when she visited her shop to take refuge from Rain on September 29.
Then, the duo exchanged contact numbers and became friendly.
Their personal moments were arrested and members of the gang threatened to upload a video if he failed to pay money.
The gang went away with his car, Rs 37,000 and cellular after raising extortion requests for Rs 10 Lakh.
They have extorted from several other people too, said Joshi.
