Ghaziabad: Aadhaar card racket was broken with the arrest of three members on Wednesday.
Along with the Aadhar card, the defendant also made a fake labor card.
Police said the defendant operated from a shop in the Loni border area.
Fake stamps, false written statements and biometric system restored from their ownership.
According to the police, the defendant was identified as Asif (34), Khalid (23) and Javed (36).
Meanwhile, Shehzad, brother-in-law Javed, fled.
IRAJ Raja, SP (rural), said that the police were informed that the gang cheated by people by making fake aadhaar and labor cards.
“We carried out an attack at the store and arrested the defendant,” he added.
A senior police officer said that the defendant collected Rs 1,500 to make a fake aadhaar card while Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000 for a fake work card.
“During the interrogation, the defendant told the police that Shehzad had a true ID to make aadhaar card and he gave the ID to Javed.
Shehzad also provided his retinal high-resolution screen technology to Javed to open the portal,” SP said.
The confiscated kit includes a laptop, fingerprint scanner, eye scanner, five rubber stamps, some forms filled with aadhaar and labor cards.
The laptop has aadhaar card application installed in it.
The police also confiscated Rs 19,500 from their ownership.
Allegations arrested were ordered under the 420 section (cheating), 467 (forgery), 468 (forgery for frauds) and 471 (using fake documents) IPC.
They were sent to trial detention after producing it in front of the judge.
