Greater Noida: Noida Police Crime Branch on Saturday captured three criminals, who were on their way to Meerut to establish illegal weapons manufacturing plants, and confiscated a large cache, including 10 pistols, 80 magazines, and 23 magazines, from their ownership.
The police claimed that the trio – Aftab, Shakil and Sagir – run illegal factories in the Kaila Bhatta area in Ghaziabad but wanted to turn it into a Meerut with the help of two accused of another, Rahees Meerut and Hashim Delhi, who were previously arrested by Delhi Police Special Cells in connection with the manufacture and sale Illegal weapons.
Acting on the tip-off, the Swat Branch team chased the SUV where the defendant traveled towards Meerut through the Shahberri area of ​​Bibrakh on Saturday and arrested them.
A total of 10 pistols resembled a foreign artificial arm, 50 dead cartridges, 30 live cartridges, 23 magazines, 80 spring rolls, drilling machines, screwdrivers and small gun parts confiscated from their ownership.
DCP (crime) Abhishek Singh said, “One of the Defendant’s Sagir told us that he was related to Rahees with whom he had planned to establish a new weapons factory.
The defendant has contributed raw materials from the Vinod Nagar Delhi area through someone named Saleem.
On Saturday , They will go to Meerut to meet Rahees.
“The defendant has run the illegal weapons supply racket with two major linkmates, Rahees and Hashim, a weapons pedler who previously presented the term prison after his arrest by Delhi’s police specifically in 2010 in connection with illegal weapons trade.
Sagir was also captured by Delhi’s police specifically in cases related to weapons.
“Hashim met Sagir in Tihar Jail and both attacked an agreement on sales and purchasing illegal weapons in NCR.
Through Hashim, they came into contact with illegal weapons supply networks,” said DCP (Crime).
The defendant will try to produce an American-made M9 replica used by the famous US armed forces and Llama Spanish pistols and will sell each pistol to Rahees each for RS 25,000, which will then supply arms for each customer for each Rs 1 lakh, said the crime branch officer.
