New Delhi: Three Workers were killed while others struggled for life after falling at the construction site of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) in the Dwarka Sector-14 area on Tuesday afternoon.
Prima Facie, it appears that the lift brake failed, which caused a sudden collapse and labor fall.
Police said mechanical inspections would be made to ensure the exact cause of the incident.
According to the police, a call was received at around 3pm about the incident.
The caller reported that some workers fell from the height at the DDA construction site.
“Three of them were saved and rushed to Shree Hospital in Sector-12, Dwarka while others rushed to Tarak Hospital in Dwarka Mor.
Panna Lal Yadav (50) was declared to be taken dead at Tarak Hospital, while Basant and Mangal Prasad Singh was stated Died at Shree Hospital.
Other workers, Surender Rai, (48) are in care for injuries and sad doctors say he is not feasible to give a statement.
The case below the corresponding part of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) has been registered, ” said Santosh Meena, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka.
The police said the four workers worked at the construction site and took the elevator to go down when suddenly collapsed.
So far, it is not clear whether laborers fall from the elevator or collapse along with the elevator.
DDA senior officials stated that housing housing complex was being built on location.
“The investigation committee is being formed to look into this problem and the right action will be taken based on the findings of the report,” said an official DDA.
