Bhubaneswar: Even though three years have passed because experts examined damage to Ratna Bhandar at Jagannath Temple, the repair had not yet begun.
On April 4, 2018, a group of experts, consisting of Jagannath Temple administration officials, District Administration and Indian Archaeological Surveys examined the safety of structural Ratna Bhandar.
Officials told the media that they observed the cracks on the walls and rickets in the inner room and outside Ratna Bhandar.
A RTI report, which was distributed by the administration of Temple Shree Jagannath (SJTA) last week, confirmed observations of 2018.
According to RTI replies, a large number of vertical cracks was found on the wall of Ratna Bhandar during inspection 2018.
In most places, plaster had fallen from the wall.
A hollow voice was heard when experts knocked on the wall.
Some iron beams that support disappeared ceilings.
Some stones are spread on the floor of Corbel.
The walls and floors are humid, said RTI reply.
The servants demanded Ratna Bhandar’s direct conservation, whose key was not lost a day after inspection in 2018, triggered the ugliness of the countries and encouraged the Head of Minister of Naveen Patnik to order a judicial investigation.
The temple administration said the problem was being intended.
“We have asked for breast milk to draw a 5-year conservation action plan for the temple through consultation with the work department.
All temple structures will be documented and corrected,” said a senior temple officer.
