THRISSUR: As sporting a mask to fight COVID-19 has been shown to be a tricky undertaking, particularly for physicians who athletic multi-layered defense equipment, a B Tech student – Kevin Jacob in Thrissur Government Engineering College has produced a sophisticated solution by designing a mask using a mic and a speaker connected.

Talking to ANI,” Jacob, the son of two physicians, stated he developed the idea once he watched his parents confronting problems while socializing with his or her patients.

“My parents have been physicians and because the start of the outbreak, they’ve been unable to speak with his or her patients. They found it quite tricky to make themselves apparent through various layers of masks plus a face guard. This was this thought came into my head,” the student told ANI.

He tested the first model together with his buddy Dr Senoj KC along with Dr Jyoti Mary Jose. He began to create a lot more once require increased.

The gadget could be used constantly for a minimum of six hours onto a thirty-minute charge. It’s connected to the mask by means of a magnet.

“Physicians who have contributed comments have stated they don’t need to strain to get heard and they could speak with their patients easily. Overall the feedback from customers has been positive,” he explained.

The youthful innovator is currently searching for firms who are going to have the ability to take this into the next amount of mass manufacturing.

“I’ve made over 50 such apparatus that are used by physicians mainly in south India. At present, I don’t have the funds or equipment to mass produce these devices. However, if a huge company is ready to assist me for this small job, I think it might help a whole lot of folks,” he explained.
