Manoj Bajpayee swiftly transforms into his reel characters but very little is known about his personal life.
Off the camera, the actor is married to actress Shabana, who quit films years ago and the couple had a charming daughter Ava.
For a career in films, Shabana changed her name to Neha and was introduced in Bollywood with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Kareeb (1998), which featured Bobby Deol in the lead.
She went on to feature in ‘Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet’ (1999), Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fiza’ (2000) and Sanjay Gupta directed ‘Alibaug’ to name a few.
Speaking about her name change, Shabana had told a news portal that she was forced to do the same and went back to her real name.
When film offers started depleting, Shabana revealed that she was happy being Mrs Manoj Bajpayee.
Speaking about quitting films, Shabana had told IANS in a previous interview, “I’ve always been passionate about acting.
But I couldn’t go role hunting from door-to-door in producers’ homes.
Maybe that was a drawback in me.
After a while, when the right roles stopped coming, I withdrew from acting and was just happy being Mrs.
Manoj Bajpayee.”
Shabana had also revealed that she met Manoj Bajpayee soon after the release of her debut movie ‘Kareeb’ and they have been together since then.
The couple tied the knot in 2006.
