Thiruvananthapuram: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University has postponed his MCA, the MBA exam is scheduled for Friday after the state government establishes a local holiday for a day’s pongal festival.
The exam will be held on January 19 and 28 each.
Districtis shared their borders with Tamil Nadu was given local holidays on a pongal day.
While the government calendar has stated holidays for the festival on Saturday, the government calendar and the Tamil Nadu government center has marked a vacation on Friday.
“Local vacation because Thypongal has advanced one day, from Saturday to Friday., Following the request submitted by the Tamil Protection Board,” said the government command in this matter.
According to order, Friday will be a local holiday for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Palakkad and Wayanad.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin tweeted that he had also written to the Head of Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, asked him to continue the practice of declaring a local holiday on January 14 (Thailand-1) for Pongal in six districts where Tamils lived in the number big.
