Chandrapur: Sub-adult male tiger (around 1.5 years old) was found dead in a mysterious state near Lake Tamsi in the Core Zone of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) on Monday afternoon.
Forest officers have failed to ensure the cause of death after the main investigation.
Postmortem from the carcass will be conducted at the TTC treatment center (TTC) in Chandrapur on Tuesday.
The carcass was first discovered by a local shepherd, who informed the Special Force Protection Tiger (STPF).
Then, STPF personnel along with local forest guards go to the place and restore the body.
Officials included TATR Field Director (FD) Jitendra Ramagaonkar, Deputy Director (Core) Nandkishor Kale, Deputy Director (Buffer) Teacher Prasad and Assistant Forest Conservator Mahesh Khore, and Wildlife Activists of Bandu Dhotre and Mukesh Bhandakkar visited the place too.
Ramagaonkar said the semi-decomposition tiger body was found in Beat Tamsi near Ghonsari Village under Tadoba Range of Tatr.
All valuable body parts of the cat are intact, but officials in places cannot determine the reasons behind the death of the scene and Panchnama.

However, because it was 6pm, Postmortem was postponed until Tuesday.
