Tigers guarantees the welfare of the forest ecosystem: YADAV

Nagpur: Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav said that people who depend on natural resources are an important aspect of tiger conservation and ‘community agenda’ exploring the ‘tiger agenda’ in India.
“Tiger, the top predators in the ecosystem, are very important in managing and perpetuating ecological processes.
Ensuring this top carnivorous conservation guarantees the welfare of forested ecosystems, biodiversity they represent, and water and climate security,” Yadav said.

The minister said that India would facilitate the Kisaran Tiger countries to finalize the New Delhi Declaration for the Global Tiger (GTS) summit to be held at Vladivostok, Russia later this year.
The “Pre-Tiger Summit” meeting was held in Delhi in 2010, where the declaration draft on the tiger conservation for GTS was resolved.

“About 4.3 million working days of work are produced by 51 tiger reserves in India and funds from Fund Management Compensation and Planning Authority (Campa) are being used to promote resettlement of voluntary villages from the core area of tiger reserves,” said Yadav.

Highlighting an organized hunting increase driven by international demand for tiger body parts and products, depletion of tiger prey, and loss of habitat as a major challenge for tiger conservation, Yadav said the status of Wild Tiger continues to be an endangered country and there are countries specific and specific areas It also affects the tiger and hence, the situation calls for active international cooperation and co-adaptive and active management.
