Tigers seen in PhuShwar, 20 km from the city

Nagpur: Tiger is seen for the first time in PhuShwar, 20 km from the city, below the North Umred Forest Range.
Forest Assistant Forest Conservator (ACF) Narendra Chandewar said the tiger was hiding in solid bushes near the farm and noticed by Vasudeo Waghade Forest Workers.
The Forest Team from North Umred and the Butibori range reached the place and took a stock of the situation.
“The place fell under Matkazari and this might be the first record of tigers in the area.
It has been recorded for leopard but not a tiger,” Chandewar said.
Officials suspect tigers entered Junapani’s reserve forest, 2 km from that place.
The Forestry Department has installed a camera trap in the Junapani area.
“This area is close to the venous reservoir and is a good tiger habitat.
Junapani is also part of the newly told of munia conservation reserves,” Chandekar said.
