Tight deal with cow massacres: GUJ CM

Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Gujarat Vijay Rupani on Friday said the government dealt with those who “trapped” Hindu girls and marry them.
Overcoming Maldhari Community Meetings, whose traditional work is livestock maintenance, in the vasihnodevi circle area here, Rupani said the BJP government in the country has also acted hard on people involved in the massacre of cows.
“My government brings several laws with strict provisions.
Both the law to save cattle from massacre, law to stop land seizure, or law to punish those involved in reshuffle,” he said.
“We also bring the law to stop ‘love jihad’.
We are dealing with those who trap Hindu girls and marry to run with them,” he said.
The chairman of the minister spoke after conducting land breaking ceremonies for a planned building from Raika’s education charity trust.
Gujarat Law of Freedom of Religion (Amendment), 2021, which was passed by the Assembly in April and was notified on June 15, giving a strict sentence for strict giant religious conversion or ‘fraud’ through marriage.
Some controversial parts of the law lived near the Gujarat High Court last month.
Kupani also told the meeting that the government gave subsidized feed and saved several lakh cattle from hunger two years ago when Kutch and Banaskatha Talukas received a little rainfall.
Speaking before, the Minister of State for Pradipshinh Jadeja’s house said CM Rupani played an important role in bringing difficult law to the massacre of cattle.
Referring to the Gujarat Animal Preservation Act (Amendment), 2017, which has provisions for life sentences for cow massacres, Jadyja said, “Thirty three god crore lives in the cow.
That is why we bring the law introduced in assembly, CM Kupani called me to his cabin and clearly told me that no need to show sympathy for those who did not show mercy on cattle.
