Telecom Regulator Pakistan has revoked the Tiktok ban after the guarantee by the popular Chinese video sharing platform that will control the “indecent” content.
The Pakistani telecommunications authority (PTA) has forbidden it in July after the complaint that it uploaded and disseminated immoral content.
“PTA has restored Tiktok services on a platform guarantee to control unsen-immoral / indecent content,” said the regulator on Friday.
According to PTA statements, the authority has last blocked access to the application on July 20 and since then, it has communicated with Tiktok management about this issue.
“As a result of sustainable involvement, a convincing Senior Management Platform (The) PTA commitment to take the steps needed to control the content that violates the law in accordance with local law and social norms,” ​​said the statement.
Furthermore, said that social media companies have also provided guarantees of blocking users for their sustainable involvement in uploading “content violating” on Tiktok.
“Given (SE) guarantee, the authority has decided to lift the Tiktok ban for,” said the statement, adding that the PTA will continue to monitor the video sharing platform to ensure that “content violates, contrary to Pakistan legal and social values, no disseminated “.
These are the fourth time PTA has raised a ban on the platform after blocking it for various reasons.
TIK Tok was banned in Pakistan for the first time in October 2020, but was lifted after only 10 days after the company’s guarantee to block the account “spread obscurity”.
The Peshawar High Court in March has imposed a ban on video sharing application which was then appointed in April.
In June, the Sindh High Court ordered PTA to suspend Tiktok because “spread amority and obscurity”.
The court has raised suspension three days after removing orders.
This application said it removed more than six million videos in Pakistan from January to March, making the second market country get most of the video after the US.
This application, which is owned by Chinese Bypance, has been downloaded more than 39 million times in Pakistan.
It’s popular in Pakistan but a number of young men have died so far filming various dangerous videos.
