New Delhi: To overcome the possibility of the third wave of Covid-19, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has made various settings, including developing Ward ICU and establishing an oxygen factory at the Tilak Nagar Colony Hospital.
“The factory will supply oxygen to 100 beds placed on the first floor of the hospital.
All other settings are also available.
On the ground floor, we have developed Ward Icu eight beds to treat critical patients.
Last year, we did not have this ICU facility and Therefore, we refer to all the patients seriously to another hospital, “said a senior SDMC official.
A project to regulate oxygen plants at Nehru Nagar Hospital and Kalkaji are also ongoing.
“At the Purnima Setyhi Hospital in Kalkaji, the process to install the factory is ongoing.
It will take 10 more days.
The factory will supply oxygen to 50 beds and thus, reduce our dependence on oxygen cylinders.
As far as TB hospitals in Nehru Nagar Worried, we have signed the MoU with an organization to prepare an oxygen factory under CSR activity.
We will immediately begin the installation process, “the official said.
Plants in Tilak Nagar Hospital and Kalkaji are being installed by IGL.
Civic’s body, in relation to NGOs, has, in the meantime, launched a 60-day campaign entitled ‘Win Covid-19 through Actarif & Action’.
“This has been launched in conjunction with the community for the development of the entire round.
A vehicle will kneel in various regions every day and make people aware of the third wave.
The aim is to make people follow Covid norms strictly,” said Mayor SDMC Mukesh Suryan.
