New Delhi: A pine has been registered with AP MLA Kuldeep Kumar for doing ‘Tiranga Yatra’ on Independence Day without taking the permission needed, the police said on Monday.
The legislator carries out a march from Kalyanpuri to his office in Kondli in the national capital, they said.
Kumar, MLA from the Constituency of Condli Delhi Timur, said the case was registered against him despite following all the right norms of Covid.
“Why did Delhi police not register pine against Ashirwad Yatra taken by BJP? We were on a bicycle, wearing a mask, maintaining social distance and following all the norms, and even then we had ordered,” he told PTI.
“Can’t we celebrate our independence day,” Kumar’s question.
However, a senior police officer said, “There is no permission given to organize each rally maintain the Covid-19 protocol.
In connection with this, a case is registered in this matter.”
