Prague: Wimbledon Champion Twice Petra Kvitova said the week he would not play the King Billie Jean Cup final in November because he needed to rest.
The Fed Cup tournament that is reactivated will be held in a room in the room in the O2 Arena in Prague on November 1-6 after the Czech capital replacing Budapest as the host city earlier this year.
“I have told the team captain I will not play.
I will play two or three tournaments in the rest of the season and then I need to rest,” Czech said 31 years old.
“This year has been difficult mentally and physically, I have a lot of injury and my body can’t handle it anymore,” added world number 10.

Wimbledon champions from 2011 and 2014 are part of the Czech Republic team which won six of the last nine Fed Cup editions.
The Maiden Billie Cup Jean King will be played in Budapest last year, but it did not happen due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“We have young girls and I believe they will take care of it,” Kvitova said.
“Of course I want to play but I need a break to manage some of the next season.” “All of these bubbles we spend a lot of strength, playing without people like training for me and I’m not the type of training,” Kvitova said.
