Coimbatore: Tirukkural Temple Sharp and brings deep meaning that cannot be understood without spirituality, the Governor of Tamil Nadu RN Ravi said here on Friday.
“Limiting tirukkural with work on ethics and morality is a great injustice for the book,” said the governor after the inauguration of the World Tirukkural Conference-2022, held at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) here, by Malai Sangam curly, an organization work for promotional tirukkural.
To achieve the classical world status, Tirukkural must be seen in totality by including a spiritual perspective, the governor said.
He said the Tirukkural Temple on ethics and morality did not stand independently of their spiritual meaning.
The lack of understanding or appreciation like that will not reveal the inner meaning carried by the temple.
“Tirururural not only talks about devotion but has a temple on the rejection and cycle of birth and death,” he said.
Since Tiruvalluvar has Tittera, some ideologies have several ideologies.
Come and go.
The current political truth or ideology may not limit what the book has to offer.
Only then the glory of Tirukural will continue, and there is no need for efforts to promote it, the governor said.
The governor is looking for more comments with a spiritual perspective on Tirukural and not just a translation to make it more popular throughout the world.
Talking at the event, the former Judge Judge Judge N Kirubakan emphasized the importance of taking the Tamil to the next generation because we were encouraged to some extent where we needed to offer priority in government work to promote language.
He also lamented several languages that are not too important in this country, unlike some languages.
The conference passed the resolution on the creation of Tirukkural Malai with the writings of 1,330 vesus and recognizing Tirukkural as a national literature book.
It was also decided to recommend to UNESCO to ensure the recognition of the World Literature Book for Tirukkural.
