Tirunelveli: The body of a woman who was decomposed was found in her home in Ambassymudram in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Sudha, which is a local official in the women’s wings from the Congress Party.
Preliminary questions revealed that the door of his house remained locked over the past few days.
On Friday, the neighbors were suspicious of something unwanted because the foul smell came from his house.
They told the police Ambasamudam, who visited the place and found him dead in bed in the bedroom.
The body was bloated, indicating that he could die more than two days ago.
There are blood stains on the walls and cots.
Forensic experts are pressed for services.
The body was sent to Tirunelveli Government Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Learned that he was separated from her husband and that he lived alone at home in the teacher’s colony.
He has two daughters and both married and have settled elsewhere.
The probe was ongoing to confirm whether he died of any disease or if he took extreme steps or killed.
