Tirupur admin prepares for southwest monsoon

Coimbatore: Tirupur collector K Vijayakarthikeyan on Saturday chaired an interdepartmental interview officials in his office to get ready for the southwest monsoon and requested them to take immediate measures to install 24×7 control chambers, which may be achieved at 1077, in the offices of tahsildars and earnings divisional officers before June 1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a regular southwest monsoon season, beginning next month. A media announcement said the collector has discussed the essential measures required to be obtained before the monsoon. “He’s led the officers to maintain their seniors upgraded about the rain-related calamities as and whenever they happen.” Vijayakarthikeyan has requested the officers to recognize the colleges, halls and anganwadi centers that may be turned to relief camps to change the folks by the rain-battered locations. He explained all of the necessary arrangements need to be drawn up beforehand to change the affected inhabitants to the aid camps without wasting some time, if necessary. The collector asked the officers to set up initial responders and rescue teams instantaneously, and maintain an interdepartmental meeting in the divisional level. “In light of this Covid-19 pandemic, private safety gear kits ought to be dispersed to the initial responders as well as other volunteers involved with the rescue operation” He explained the Covid-19 guidelines, such as wearing face masks and preserving social distancing, ought to be adopted in aid camps. “People ought to be screened for Covid signs prior to home them relief camps”
