Coimbatore: The owner of the banian manufacturing unit in Tirupur and his paramour was killed by consuming poisons, police said.
They were found dead in the banian manufacturing unit in Neruperichal near Anupparpalayam on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as a Prem, 39, from Balan Nagar in Neruperichal and Nirosha, 30, from Theni Regency.
The police said Prem, who was not married, lived in a rented house in Neruperichal.
Nirosha, who worked as a tailor at the Banian company, developed an extramarious affair with Prem, according to the police.
Nirosha was in a rented house with her husband and two children.
Both family members came to know about the relationship and advise them against it, according to the police.
The bodies were sent to the Tirupur Government Hospital for Postmortem.
Police Anupparpalayam enrolled case.
Further investigation is underway.
