PANAJI: Two days after making an announcement by social media post that he has sold the Tito club and their entire business in Goa, a colleague owner and group director Ricardo D’Souza said on Wednesday that only Goan operations were sold and the Tito brand would continue.
“This is a dangerous sale.
It would be ridiculous to close Tito as a brand.
It has a long and rich inheritance,” Ricardo told Toi.
He said the Tito club – one of the most popular party goals in the country and the brand of iconic hospitality from the country-and cafe Mambos will be reopened as soon as the pandemic is permitted.
Ricardo said the group managed by the family will continue to hold the Tito brand and will diversify into alcohol and the sugar market.
“We will take PAN-Indian Tito and globally,” he said.
“I want to keep my hand free.
There are abuse of the police, officials, TCP (city and country planning) and collector offices.
Staff are threatened with arrests,” he reaffirmed again.
Ricardo and his brother David runs Club Tito’s, Bollywood Discotheque, and Café Mambo-all part of the Tito brand – and also the Tito Ltd.
Director of Resort and Entertainment, along with their mother Lucille d’Souza.
Ricardo said they were exploring chocolate production in Gujarat, while alcohol would be produced and wasolated in Goa and Madhya Pradesh.
“It will all be under the brand of Goa Tito,” he said.
The group has sold Goa Feni’s inheritance under this brand.
He also said they had plans to establish stores in Dubai, England and Africa, and explore the franchise business model for the entire India.
Ricardo avoided queries about who the new owner.
“The owner doesn’t want to be identified now.
I can convince everyone that it’s not a Punjabi entrepreneur,” he said.
He also clarified that no employees would lose their jobs because new management had convinced to keep workers as surgery.
Founded by Tito Henry De Souza in 1971, Goa Tito is a popular place for Hippies and world tourists who want to escape from the chaos of the world.
When international tourists flock to cave to find Tito, domestic tourists follow, strongly planting Goa Tito as party destinations.
Over the past two decades, the Tito club is a place to be everyone who is looking for a party on the beach.
Steps to get out of business come as a surprise for many people.
Meanwhile, the owner of the LPK Nandan Kudchadkar Club brought social media to announce the “iconic acquisition” that would take him to a larger altitude.
The post sent social media for the second time this week and encouraged many people to question whether Kudchadkar had obtained the Tito club operation and Mambos Cafe.
“This is a business transaction and I don’t want to comment,” Kudchadkar told Toi, refused to confirm or deny speculation.
