TMC-BJP war of words above ‘man-made’

Haripur (Hooghly): Trinamool Congress MP Aparupa Poddar Alleged on Saturday that floods in Arambag and Pursura Blocks in Hooghly are “ACIALE steps by DVC authorities”, drawing sharp retorts from BJP leader Dilip Ghosh.
Poddar, in the presence of other TMC leaders Becharam Manna, Asima Patra and Tapan Dasgupta, said he would file FIR against DVC.
“We will stay from DVC.
A DVC team came to Hooghly seven days ago to assess how many releases would flood these areas.
This is a man-made flood,” said MP TMC as soon as CM Mamata Banerjee went to Helipad Kalipur on the day Saturday.
Ghosh rubbed the accusation.
“Bengal has suffered a flood for 100 years.
Trinamool has made complaints of man-made floods since CPM days,” he said.
BJP leader shows that there are state representatives in the DVC consultation committee.
“What did the person do? He should objected to the release,” he said.
