Kolkata: The Delegation of the Trinamool Congress will meet with the Head of West Bengal Election on Friday to urge it to accelerate the process of poll holders in the state as early as possible, the leader of the Senior Party Parta Chatterjee said on Thursday.
TMC has met the President Commissioner in Delhi in this matter but did not receive a response, Chatterjee had said before.
“The TMC team will meet CEO tomorrow and urge him to accelerate the process of holding polls into five assembly chairs and new elections for two other people”, he said.
In the Slugfest politics between TMC and BJP opposition over the ongoing floods in West Bengal, he said that it was a “habit” of the Safron party to say something opposite.
While TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee claimed that the flood was ‘made’ and blamed Damodar Valley Corporation for that, BJP called it unfounded.
BJP State spokesman Shamik Bhattacharya has said that there is a logic behind DVC’s actions.
The fact is that the state government fails to carry out aid and rescue operations correctly and now blame others.
“BJP does not respect the problems faced by flood-affected people.
BJP always takes anti-person attitude,” he said.
Chatterjee said the Saffron party was interested in selling public assets and thus creating unemployment.
“There is no difference between Looteras (Loading) and the BJP government”, he said.
Referring to the former Central Minister of Babul Supriyo, who resigned from BJP but then backed down, Chatterjee said that he was not a “real” politician and could not defend the faith of the asansi people from where he was elected.
