New Delhi: MPS Delegation Trinamool Congress (TMC) will meet President RAM Nath Kovind on Monday afternoon to seek the removal of Tustar Mehta as a lawyer General of India.
Previously, party lawmakers had written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to eliminate Mehta for his meeting reported with West Bengal Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari.
“The TMC delegation consisting of parliamentarians will immediately approach the President and told him about the meeting between the Public Lawyer (SG) Tushar Mehta and the opposition leader in the West Bengal Assembly (said a TMC leader).
The leader added that MPS Sukhendu Sekhar Ray and Mahua Moitra would meet With the President.
In their letters to the Prime Minister Modi, the Party of Parliament of Crane O’Brien, Ray and Moitra have accused that the meeting between Mehta and Adhikari violated the norms that had been determined and “smelled of toughness”.
Adhikari, once the Trinamool Congress Congress, It was accused of the 2016 Narada Cassette case, and Mehta represents the Central Investigation Bureau at the Supreme Court and the Calcutta High Court in an investigation into the senior TMC leaders in this case.
