Kolkata: TMC MLA which was in power in West Bengal filed a complaint of the police who accused that he was attacked by “goon” related to the Toll Square run by the central agency in the Murshidabad district on Sunday to protest the excessive retrieval of vehicles.
The authority of the toll plaza in Farakka, however, rejected the allegations that MLA Local Monirul Islam was attacked, and claimed that the commonly protested after he refused to pay toll tax and his colleagues created a commotion.
“I have heard excessive complaints by the Toll Square located near the border between Bengal-Jharkhand Western countries.
When I went there to check myself, some thugs related to the toll plaza management reached the place and was charged with my vehicle During my time.
The argument and brickbats were thrown into the US.
However, I was not physically disadvantaged when the police and locals drove me out, “he told reporters.
However, the Management of Plaza Toll, said that legislator’s behavior has woriled local residents, who protested it and he had to leave the place.
“He refused to pay the toll tax for his vehicle and his friends created a commotion,” they said, adding no attack on MLA.
An officer of the Farakka police station said that the commotion began after Islam reached a place with around 10 people and the brick was thrown next.
Islam is escorted outside the area and the situation is now under control, he added.
